About Me

Entrepreneur, Programmer, & Business Coach

I’ve been working in tech since 2006, but technically I started “programming” on GeoCities some ten years earlier. I graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Multimedia in 2006.

Since 2008, I’ve been running a successful digital services agency called Chromatic, where I’m currently our President and one of three managing partners.

As President, I spend my time leading accounts and sales, setting our strategy, and fostering our team culture. I practice a lead-by-example management style and believe that humans do their best work when they feel safe, supported, and heard.

Over the years, I’ve worked both for the business and on the business. From designing web pages, to contributing to open-source projects, writing proposals and delivering pitches, hosting a podcast, and everything in between.

Recently, I’ve thrown myself back into programming; learning to write native apps for iOS. I suppose it’s as much a way of keeping up with emerging technologies as it is scratching my own itch. I’ve been writing about the journey at a project called Optimistic Closures.

I’ve spoken publicly about the challenges in running a digital agency, keeping remote workers engaged, and on the values of networking in your career.

In early 2020, I began coaching other business leaders and I’ve found it to be some of the most rewarding work of my career.

I’m a proud Chicagoan, taco lover, BMW enthusiast, and avid CrossFitter. I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart, Jessica and together we’re raising Anjali and Elijah – our pride and joy.
